DIY Pet Bed & Carpet Deodorising Powder

A dry sprinkle-on powder that lifts set-in pet odours from bedding and carpet

Ingredients

• 250 g Bicarbonate of Soda (Food Grade)
• 50 g Organic Arrowroot Powder

Method

1. Combine the Bicarbonate of Soda and Arrowroot Powder in a mixing bowl.
2. Whisk or stir until evenly blended with no lumps.
3. Transfer to a shaker container, or a clean jar with a perforated lid.
4. Label with product name and date made.

How to use

Lightly sprinkle over pet bedding, carpets, rugs or upholstery. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes, or longer for stronger odours, so it can draw out the smell, then vacuum thoroughly. Keep pets out of the room while it sits. Use on dry surfaces only, and test on a small hidden area first.

Storage

Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place, away from moisture so it stays free-flowing. Use within 12 months.

Safety

Safe for use in homes with both cats and dogs; fragrance-free with no Essential Oils. Always vacuum up fully after use; this is a surface treatment, not for direct application to animals. Avoid raising clouds of dust when applying. Keep out of reach of children.
