DIY Aloe Vera Soothing Spray
This spray exists for the moments between things — after shaving, after sun exposure, after anything that leaves skin reactive and in need of cooling down. It absorbs without residue, requires no rubbing, and the combination of Aloe and Witch Hazel calms inflammation on contact. I keep a bottle in the fridge for the best version of this experience.
HERO INGREDIENT — Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera Gel contains over 200 bioactive compounds including polysaccharides, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory compounds that work together to reduce redness and accelerate the skin's own repair response. For post-shave skin, sunburn, and minor surface irritation, it provides immediate relief by cooling the surface and forming a light protective film while the deeper tissue heals. The gel form retains far more of the plant's active compounds than aloe juice.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS RECIPE
Organic Witch Hazel — natural astringent that tightens pores, reduces redness, and complements Aloe's anti-inflammatory action
Tea Tree Essential Oil — optional — adds antimicrobial benefit particularly useful for post-shave application on areas prone to ingrown hairs
Geogard ECT — preservative essential in this water-containing formula — do not omit
