DIY Bath Milk Soak
A silky, softening bath soak with a luxurious milky finish
Yield 300 g · Difficulty Beginner · Time 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 150 g Bicarbonate of Soda (Food Grade)
- 100 g Cleaning Salt
- 30 g Gum Acacia
- 15 g Organic Arrowroot Powder
- 15–20 drops Soothe Essential Oil Blend (optional)
Method
- Ensure all equipment and the storage jar are completely dry.
- Combine the Bicarbonate of Soda, Cleaning Salt, Gum Acacia and Organic Arrowroot Powder in a clean mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Add Essential Oil if using and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer to a clean airtight jar.
- Label with product name, date made, and ‘¼–½ cup per bath’.
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Dry spatula
- Digital scales
- Airtight jar
How to use
Add ¼–½ cup to a warm bath and stir to dissolve. Soak for 15–20 minutes. Pat dry and follow with a body moisturiser. Rinse the bath after use to prevent residue and slipping.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Moisture causes clumping. Use within 12 months.
Safety
Mix Essential Oil thoroughly into the powder before adding to the bath; undispersed oils on water can irritate skin. Gum Acacia makes bath surfaces slippery; rinse the bath thoroughly after use. Do not use on broken or sunburned skin. Keep out of reach of children.
