This is one of the most deliberately minimal recipes in the book — two ingredients, both chosen because of what they are not. No Essential Oils, no Aloe Vera, no fragrance of any kind. Cats groom themselves constantly, which means anything applied to their coat is ingested. Distilled Water and Vegetable Glycerin in these proportions is safe, effective for reducing static and easing tangles, and nothing more than that needs to be here.
HERO INGREDIENT — Vegetable Glycerin Glycerin's humectant properties make it useful on cat coat for the same reason it works on human hair: it attracts and holds moisture to the hair shaft, reducing static charge and making the coat more manageable. At this very low concentration — 5 mL in 200 mL — it provides a subtle conditioning effect without leaving residue that a cat would find irritating during grooming. The water does the majority of the work; the glycerin keeps the coat from returning to static immediately.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS RECIPE
Distilled Water — the primary carrier — mineral-free to prevent any residue on the coat that could be ingested during grooming
