DIY Dog Paw & Nose Balm

A nourishing balm to soothe and protect paws and nose

Yield 60 mL  ·  Difficulty Beginner  ·  Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

• 40 mL Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT)
• 20 g Organic Beeswax Pellets
• 3 mL Vitamin E Oil

Method

1. Sanitise all equipment.
2. Melt the Organic Beeswax Pellets in a double boiler over low heat.
3. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Fractionated Coconut Oil.
4. Allow to cool slightly, then add the Vitamin E Oil.
5. Pour into a clean tin or amber glass jar immediately before it begins to set.
6. Allow to cool fully at room temperature; approximately 30 minutes.
7. Label with product name and date made.

Equipment

• Double boiler or heatproof bowl over saucepan
• 60 mL tin or amber glass jar
• Stirring spoon
• Digital scales

How to use

Apply a small amount to paws and nose as needed; especially after walks on hot or rough surfaces. Safe if licked in small amounts. Reapply as needed.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place. Use within 6 months.

Safety

For dogs only. Formulated without nut-based oils as it is safe if licked in small amounts. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
