DIY Relaxation Bath Soak

A hot bath with good minerals in the water is one of the most effective forms of physical recovery there is. Salt draws out tension, bicarb softens the water and skin, and the blend you choose sets the tone for the whole experience. This is one of the simplest recipes in the book and one of the ones I make most often.

HERO INGREDIENT — Cleaning Salt
In a bath soak, salt works through osmosis — the concentration gradient between the mineral-rich water and the body encourages fluid movement across the skin, which eases inflammation and soothes muscle tension. It also softens skin by gently drawing out impurities while the warm water opens pores. Fine salt dissolves quickly; coarser grades take longer but provide a gentle exfoliating effect as you pour.

WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS RECIPE

Bicarbonate of Soda (Food Grade) — softens bath water, balances pH against the skin, and contributes to the silky feeling of the water

Essential Oil — optional — choose based on the experience you want; lavender for rest, eucalyptus for congestion, citrus for energy
