A gentle, plant-derived liquid cleanser made from coconut and fruit sugars. It is a non-ionic surfactant, which means it cleans well without stripping, and it produces a soft, stable lather. It suits both household cleaners and skin-contact recipes, and blends easily with water, essential oils and other surfactants.

Where you'll use it

Good to know
Thicker than water, so pour slowly
Best made up with distilled water for stability; finished water-based recipes need a preservative
Pairs well with cocamidopropyl betaine for extra foam
