SafeHaven Dishwashing Liquid · Lift · 500mL
When ready-made convenience matters, this is my everyday washing-up liquid. It cuts through grease on dishes, pots and pans without the harsh surfactants and synthetic fragrance found in most supermarket bottles.
The base is plant-derived coco glucoside and coconut-derived betaine, which give rich, gentle suds. I add sodium citrate to soften hard water, so glassware rinses clear instead of cloudy, and a little glycerine so it is kinder to hands at the sink.
It is balanced to pH 5.5, kind to hands that wash up every night, and scented with Lift, my fresh herbal blend of lemon, eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree, fir needle, rosemary and clary sage.
I bottle it in 500mL amber recycled PET with a flip-top cap, so it is light and safe on a wet bench.
