When ready-made convenience matters, this is my low-tox answer to mould, soap scum and grime that does not lean on harsh chemicals. It is built around hydrogen peroxide to lift stains and clove oil to target mould, and used regularly it helps discourage regrowth.

It is lightly scented by the clove essential oil itself, a warm, clean aroma, while it works on mould in bathrooms, laundries and other damp spaces. There is no chlorine bleach and no synthetic fragrance. The honest trade-off is that a low-tox remover wants a little soak time on stubborn spots rather than an instant chemical hit.

How to use

Spray directly onto the affected area and leave for 10–20 minutes on stubborn mould. Scrub if needed, then rinse with water. Ventilate the room while you work, and patch test surfaces and fabrics first, as the formula can lighten grout, silicone and coloured materials.

Aqua, Vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide (3%), Isopropyl Alcohol, Castile Soap, Coco-Glucoside, Polysorbate 20, Lift Blend, Clove Bud Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid.

Safety

Wear gloves and ventilate the area. Keep off skin and eyes; clove oil is a strong irritant. Keep out of reach of children and pets; clove oil is toxic to cats and dogs.
