DIY All Purpose Spray Cleaner
The spray I reach for first, every single time. This one handles benchtops, splashbacks, bathroom sinks, light switches — anything that needs a wipe-down. It's the recipe that convinced most people in my life that homemade actually works, because it cleans just as fast as the commercial version and smells genuinely good.
HERO INGREDIENT — Cleaning Vinegar
Cleaning Vinegar is stronger than standard white vinegar — typically around 6–8% acetic acid versus 5% in the kitchen variety. That extra strength matters for cutting through grease and mineral deposits on household surfaces. It's also a natural disinfectant, pH-balancing, and completely biodegradable.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS RECIPE
Liquid Castile Soap — adds surfactant action to lift and suspend dirt so it rinses away cleanly rather than being pushed around
Distilled Water — the carrier that brings everything together and dilutes the vinegar to a safe working strength
Essential Oil — optional but recommended — Lemon adds brightness, Tea Tree adds antimicrobial depth
I RECOMMEND TRYING IT WITH FOREST BLOOM
Forest Bloom gives an all-purpose spray something most commercial versions can't — a genuinely interesting scent profile that shifts as it dries. The Geranium and Lemon Myrtle do the front work; the Cedarwood and Frankincense settle into something quieter once the surface is clean.
