DIY Scrubbing Paste
For the jobs that sprays can't finish — baked-on grime around taps, stained grout, the inside of a sink that needs more than a wipe. This paste gives you physical abrasion from the salt crystals, chemical cleaning action from the bicarb and vinegar reaction, and the surfactant lift of Castile Soap all in one application.
HERO INGREDIENT — Bicarbonate of Soda (Food Grade)
In a scrubbing paste, Bicarbonate of Soda does double duty: its fine crystal structure provides gentle physical abrasion without scratching surfaces, and its alkalinity breaks down grease and protein-based stains chemically. When the vinegar hits it in the bowl, the fizzing reaction drives the cleaning action into surface pores and crevices that a cloth alone can't reach.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS RECIPE
Liquid Castile Soap — provides surfactant action to lift and suspend loosened dirt, making it easier to rinse away after scrubbing
Cleaning Vinegar — reacts with bicarb to create the fizzing cleaning action, and dissolves mineral deposits and soap scum
Essential Oil — optional — Tea Tree adds antimicrobial action; Lemon cuts grease and adds a clean scent
I RECOMMEND TRYING IT WITH LIFT
Scrubbing paste goes on grout, taps, and sink basins — surfaces where you want to smell real cleaning happening, not just fragrance. Lift's Tea Tree and Eucalyptus do that work honestly, and the Lemon stops it feeling clinical once the job is done.
